ECWA have various departments for the work of various Christian Ministries and for the purpose of realizing its Goal and Objectives. The departments are the operational arms of ECWA at different levels.

Find below the short detailed explanation of the duties for each Department and the activities carried out as outlined by Evangelical Church of West Africa.

 

ECWA Education                                                                                              Top

The unit is responsible for:

• Coordinating the operations of ECWA Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Vocational Schools.

• Keeping abreast with the educational laws and ordinances of the State and Federal Government and operation of general education, and advising the E.E. and Institutional Boards as required.

• Maintaining records of service of all personnel in the various institutions under its jurisdiction.

This department produce, procure and distribute appropriate quality agricultural inputs and products to farmers. To improve the quality of life of those involved in agriculture physically, socially and spiritually. Share Christ through contacts made in the course of doing such work and to uphold the Holy Bible.

Distribute Christian media (books, records, cassettes, films, filmstrips etc) that convey the Christian faith so that non-Christians become aware of the message, believe the gospel and Christian grow to maturity in Christ. To assist ECWA and other Christian groups to accomplish their evangelistic and church growth objectives.

To glorify God through providing quality and compassionate health care services and witnessing to patients in word and deed the saving love of Jesus Christ. Give efficient and affordable health care to the community that is promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative.

Training and discipline dedicated Christians to assist the church in meeting her goals and meeting the needs of the community at large and to establish a sound and effective administration and to coordinate the operations of all dispensaries and primary health care centers.

Promote sustainable holistic community based development (i.e. physical, spiritual and social in the areas of health, agriculture, sanitation and water supply, environmental control, women and gender etc) activities through effective animation and capacity building.

 

ECWA Finance                                                                                                  Top

This department shall be responsible for all financial transactions of the Headquarters ad the generality of ECWA. The department shall see that proper accounting and procedures are established throughout ECWA Headquarters, Departments, Institutions and Units, DCC's, LCC's and the LCB's.

 

ECWA Audit                                                                                                      Top

This department shall be responsible to the President for overseeing the financial activities of the Headquarters and ECWA in general, by internal auditing with a view to ensuring judicious use and proper accounting of ECWA resources and\to submit quarterly report to the President and annual report to the General Church Council.

This department is responsible for manufacturing, procuring and distribution of pharmaceutical products to all ECWA medical units and institutions.

Making available community-based pharmaceutical products to the general public as deemed feasible and promoting the gospel ministry in all its services.

This outfit shall coordinate and supervise ECWA guest houses, facilitate planning and development of ECWA guest houses. Ensure that high spiritual and maintenance standards are kept in the ECWA guest houses and plan strategies for Christian outreach and ministry.
